Why this yacht

Sunreef's 49-metre power catamaran, offered as a build project rather than a used yacht, for buyers stepping into full superyacht scale.

• 1,320 GT across a 16.85 m beam
• Five guest cabins for ten guests, with accommodation for seventeen crew
• Twin MTU 12V 4000 M73L engines, 90,000 L fuel and a published 5,000 NM range

The story behind this yacht

The 49M is the point at which Sunreef's catamaran thinking reaches true superyacht tonnage. At 1,320 GT on a 16.85-metre beam, the volume is closer to that of a much longer monohull, yet the guest programme stays deliberately small at five cabins for ten guests. Seventeen crew, twin MTU 12V 4000 engines and 90,000 litres of fuel for a published 5,000-mile range describe a yacht meant for ocean passages and remote seasons rather than coastal hopping.

Who this yacht suits

This project suits an owner already operating, or ready to operate, a large crewed superyacht who wants the stability and deck area of a twin hull. It is a build decision, so it rewards a buyer who wants influence over specification and is comfortable with build timelines, project management and the berthing logistics of a 16.85-metre beam.
